DCG Party!

Switching into the new year with a big event this DCG. We played a real life version of the popular Nintendo Switch game Mario Party. DCG Party was a great way to introduce the fun DCG can bring to English learning for our new junior highschool students. We played this event board game style, with the girls as the board game pieces! Some game squares were blank but some triggered special powers or mini games!

After being split into teams we could start rolling the dice! But of course this was DCG Party so they punched into the air, just like Mario! After rolling the dice all the teams moved! This was very hectic! Once the new spaces were found a few special powers were activated and our first game was played.

The first mini game played was shake it off! The girls selected the best dancer in their group to be covered in sticky notes. Once the countdown happened, the dancers shook for thirty seconds, after which if they successfully removed their sticky notes, they won the game!

The second game to be triggered tested the girls’ math vocabulary. They were given mathematical equations and had to read them correctly out loud and then answer! First to raise their hand got to try. The game was the best out of five equations.

The final game was a spelling test! We focused on the vocabulary the junior high school students had been learning. This was the quickest game by far, with team three winning 3 to 2. Well done!

There were a few games that were not triggered, sometimes that is just how the dice falls. But that means you’ll get to see the return of DCG Party next time!

「Shake it off」です。
