In today’s J3 Advanced Ro class the students discussed the following questions:
1. What kind(s) of “smart” devices are you using these days? How are you using them?
2. Do you think it’s a good idea for young children to use smartphones and computers?
3. What are some things you understand and don’t understand about computers and AI?
4. What do you want from a smartphone? From a computer?
5. What are you reading in the news about computers and robots these days?
6. How do you feel about AI? Does it make you worried or optimistic? Explain.
They had a lively discussion of these questions and will soon be surveying their classmates about self-driving cars.
