Christmas comes early to Denenchofu! This term, students got a special reward for participating in an XReading Challenge. A Christmas Cookie Party!
田園調布に一足早くクリスマスがやってきました。今学期、「XReading Challenge」に参加した生徒を対象にクリスマスクッキーパーティーが開催されました。
Each term, junior high school students are asked to participate in an English reading challenge using the online XReading library. For November, we asked students to read as many English books as they could in only three weeks! The top three readers from each homeroom were then invited to a Christmas Cookie Party!
中等部の生徒は各学期、「XReading」を使ってオンラインで英語の本を読みます。１１月は、３週間でできるだけ多くの英語の本を読むという課題に取り組みました。各クラスで３名の成績上位者がパーティーに招待されました。
After school on Nov. 26th, 25 winning students gathered in the Cooking Room to decorate cookies, listen to Christmas music, and enjoy hot cocoa. Students had a variety of fun Christmas cookie shapes and colorful candy decorations to choose from to make their creations! They had a lot of fun designing and snacking on their cookies. They could even take their cookies home to share!
１１月２６日の放課後、２５名の生徒が調理室に集まり、クッキーをデコレーションしたり、クリスマスソングを聴いたり、ココアを飲んだりしました。生徒たちはクッキーを好きな形にしたり、カラフルなキャンディーを選んでデコレーションしたりして楽しみました。そして、クッキーを食べてとても楽しい時間を過ごしました。クッキーを家に持ち帰ってシェアすることもできました。
We hope students will continue challenging themselves to read English books, so they can join more fun events in the future!
生徒たちが今後も英語の読書に挑戦し、これからも楽しいイベントに参加してくれることを願っています。
