-DAY 4-

午前中は、これまでのフィールドワークやインタビューで得た情報をもとに、各チームでアクションプランの構築と発表準備をしました。また、発表直前まで現地の方々へのインタビューを続けるなど、最後まで検証にこだわる姿勢が見られました。

今回の研修では、生徒たちは最初から積極的に英語を使い、現地の方々とのコミュニケーションに挑戦していました。加えて、チームの枠を越えてお互いにインタビューをし合ったり、アドバイスを送り合ったりする様子も見られ、協働しながら学びを深めている点が印象的でした。

午後からは、観光（tourism）、農業（agriculture）、ゴミ（waste）の各チームが、それぞれのアクションプランを英語で発表しました。

観光チームは、オーバーツーリズムによる文化的摩擦に着目し、外国人観光客に向けたマナーブックの作成というアイデアを提案しました。現地でのインタビュー内容を踏まえた、実践的で具体性のある提案となっていました。

農業チームは、後継者不足の問題に焦点を当てました。インタビューを通して、農業に対してポジティブな意見を持つ若者が一定数存在することが分かり、現実的な解決策を模索していました。

ゴミチームは、コンポスト施設で働く労働者のモチベーションの低さという点に着目しました。現場の声をもとに、その背景にある要因を分析し、働く環境や意識を改善するための具体的なアイデアを提案していました。

それぞれのチームが、現地で得た情報をもとに、課題の本質に迫ろうとする姿が見られました。また、異なる課題同士がつながっていることにも気づき、より広い視点で社会問題を捉える力が育まれている様子がうかがえました。

発表後には、「su-re.co」のスタッフの方々からフィードバックをいただきました。自分たちの視点だけでなく、実際の立場や状況を踏まえて考えることの重要性を改めて認識する機会となりました。

-DAY 5-

デンパサール国際空港での生徒たちの表情は、研修開始前とは明らかに異なっていました。現地での経験をやり切ったという自信と達成感が感じられ、この数日間での大きな成長が伝わってきました。

約7時間のフライトを経て、日本へ帰国。日常へと戻っていきますが、この研修で得た学びや気づきは、これからの行動の中で生かされていくはずです。

「Don’t just study. Do something」

この言葉を胸に、生徒たちが今後も自ら考え、行動し続けていくことを期待しています。

以下、生徒のコメントです。

After checking out of the hotel, we did a team action.  I am in the garbage team, and I thought what they should do to decrease garbage on the street in Bali in the future.  Actually, we went to interview with a local person.  Local people are kind, and they answered willingly our question.  People from sure.-co helped me a lot.  For people who don’t understand English, they translated it into Indonesian.  In the interview, I felt that there were more local people who cooperated with the garbage problem than we thought.  Based on this interview, we summarized the ideas.

After lunch, we prepared for the presentation in AJAR’s meeting room.  We discussed in the team and I finished making the slides.  Finally, we presented in English what each team had done in Bali.  And We shared our ideas with sure.-co and got comments after the presentation.  I was nervous because it was my first presentation in English, but I think I did well.  The other teams had many interesting ideas, like making posters and interviewing people at the beach, or burning plastic into thread. I also learned a lot from the agriculture and tourism teams.

At the airport, we wore the indigo-dyed T-shirts we made and took pictures together.

Our time in Bali was short, but it was a very valuable experience.  We learned so many things during this program.  I will never forget this experience.
