Christmas Cooking Class! (English Room)

On December 19th, a very special English Room event was held in the east building kitchen. Thanks to the kindness of the home economics teachers, we were able to have a wonderful cooking class experience. For this event, both J3 and H1 students were invited to bake some holiday cookies together for only 250 yen. It was a great chance for them to only use English to communicate with each other and with their teacher. I was extremely proud of their dedication to the “English only” rule. I believe they found new ways to explain their opinions and express ideas.
English Room企画のワークショップを調理室にて行い、参加者は英語でクリスマスのクッキー作りを体験しました。生徒はレシピによく使われる英語表現を学び、イラスト入りのレシピを見ながら調理をします。”English Only”ルールのもと、友だちとも英語を使いながら、協力して作業を行いました。「英語力」と「クッキー」が手に入り、２倍”美味しい”イベントとなりました。（英語科 Samantha, 西尾）
