Happy New Year! (English Room)

サマンサが新年の挨拶と、年末のクリスマスパーティの様子についてお伝えします。
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the English department at Denen Chofu Gakuen to you. Our very first Christmas Party at the English Room was a great success. It was wonderful to see so many of our students excited to experience some foreign Christmas traditions.
During our party, students could sample traditional Christmas food and drink like Christmas cake and apple cider. Since many students wanted to join in on the festivities, we also offered treats like gingerbread cookies, chips, and orange juice. As the students had a bite to eat they were welcome to talk with us and their friends, watch the “Christmas Around the World” slideshow, play games, and take polaroid photos.
My favourite part was just getting an opportunity to talk to the students and use some English outside of the classroom setting. It was great to hear their opinions on Christmas and their plans for the New Years. I look forward to next years’ Christmas celebrations!（英語科 Samantha, 西尾）
