　カナダ・ホームステイは２日目を終えました。カナダ・ホームステイでは、各家庭のホームステイ・エリアに応じて、日中は２箇所に分かれ、スタディー・センターに通って英会話レッスンを受けます。Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission に滞在の生徒（グループＡＢ）は　St. John Brebeuf High School がスタディー・センターとなります。Langley, Port Coquitlam, Surrey, Maple Ridgeに滞在の生徒（グループＣ）は　British Columbia Christian Academy がスタディー・センターとなります。それぞれのセンターで高校生や大学生の複数のバディーが付いていてくれるのでとても心強いです。

〈 St.John Brebeuf High School 〉

 　今日は、バディーと打ち解けられることを目標にしたような自己紹介やゲームのような活動が中心だったようです。休み時間には、一緒に屋外でバレーボールやフリスビーなどを楽しむ姿を見かけました。

〈 British Columbia Christian Academy 〉

　今日は、レッスン内でネームプレートや扇子を手作りしました。湿度は低いですが、日中の気温は30℃前後なので扇子はとても役立ちそうです。パック・ランチ（お弁当）はサンドウィッチかヌードルでした。朝から用意してくれたホスト・ファミリーに感謝ですね。

　両センターともに、通学にはスクール・バスやホスト・ファミリーの送迎など、車を利用しています。レッスン終了後の夕方4時、笑顔で迎えに来てくれたホスト・ファミリーの方々を見て、皆、笑顔で下校しました。

＜本日の’Home Stay Journal’より…＞

I’m very tired.  But I enjoyed myself today.  I ate some potato and cheddar cheese.  I think that I could speak English better this evening than last.

We introduced ourselves at the study center in the morning.  In the afternoon, we made some presentations and played cards.  I was nervous before my presentation.

Today I took the English class.  The class was more exciting than I had thought.  Our buddies are kind to us.  We played many games, and they were fun, too.
