Last weekend, the English Room made its debut at the annual Nadeshiko Festival. Jason, Rob, Katie, and I were thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful event. This year we decided to make a stamp rally for our visitors. There were stamps available at three stations around the room. The first station was at our poster corner. The posters illustrated some of the great things that go on in the English Room. Parents were able to read about EIKEN, TEAP, Model UN, the debate class, the English Lovers’ Club, the English Room Library, and more! The next station was at our games table. Visitors could choose a game to play with a native English teacher. It was so nice to see how happy it made the younger guests when they were able to communicate with us in English. Finally, the last stamp was available at our mystery boxes. Visitors were encouraged to reach into the box and guess the mystery letters and numbers. The visitors who received all three stamps were rewarded a sticker of their choice from Canada. A big thank you to all of you who took time to visit the English Room during Nadeshiko Festival. We look forward to holding another spectacular English Room event soon!

なでしこ祭期間中、English Roomでは展示・体験を行いました。活動内容である英検、Teapの個別対策や希望者対象のディベート講座、会話講座、洋書の貸し出し、そして模擬国連に向けた指導などについての紹介を行いました。English Room体験では、100名を超える受験生が、英語を用いたゲームなどを体験しました。多くの方々にご来場いただきまして、ありがとうございました。(英語科 Samantha, 西尾)
