Book Story (English Room)

On Tuesday, February 21st, the English Room held its first after-school Story Time. I read Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree aloud while showing a slideshow of images. The picture slideshow also had the English sentences from the book, so the students were able to follow along with the words. Because they enjoyed the book and wanted to read more, the girls in attendance then checked out books to borrow from the new English Room library.
（概訳）English Roomでは、多読推進の一環として中等部１年生を対象に読み聞かせを行っています。その第1回目は”Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree”でした。パワーポイントのスライドを用いて、絵と文を見せながらネイティブが読み聞かせを行うことで、日本語を介さずに英語を英語のまま理解する習慣がついていきます。終了後、生徒はケイティと一緒に自分が興味のある洋書を選び、借りていく姿が見られました。（ALT Katie）
