Fantastic English Camp!

Time flies. Its already the last day. Todays big event was the English drama. This activity required a great amount of teamwork between each of the group’s members. The native teachers evaluated the dramas based on the following points: story originality, the use of proper English, showing self-confidence, expressiveness, and voice projection. We were very impressed with their performances.

The girls have been practicing their English skits since yesterday.  They were so enthusiastic that many of the groups continued preparing in their free time. All the groups made enormous efforts, and we greatly enjoyed watching their performances. Some of them were very original and funny.

At the end of this English Camp, we had a closing ceremony. During the closing ceremony, the top 3 speech presenters and the top 3 students who have been trying to speak in English most actively were presented with awards of excellence. The students that were chosen looked very happy and confident.

Well go back to school now. On the way back, well continue to enjoy talking with the group teachers in English. Its sad to say goodbye to them, but now the girls have a much stronger desire to study English even more diligently, and are more determined than ever to take advantage of how this wonderful experience will enhance their future.       ( Sakuma ・Shibao)

Message from Mr. Stephen Siegel

This was such a fantastic group of girls.  All of them were very eager to learn and speak English.  They all did an amazing job.  All of the native English teachers were very impressed with the students.  Their speeches were outsanding, and some of them wre very moving.  One these girls understand the basics of something, they really run with it.  This was especially apparent in the debate activity.  The students really owned the debates and many were very lively.  Their critical thinking skills are coming along very nicely.  The teamwork, support, and sensitivity all the students displayed was wonderful.

The students all did their best and continued to challenge themselves.  They shoudl all feel very proud.   They are all MVPs in my opinion.
