カナダホームステイ第７日目

週末が明けて今日は久しぶりの授業でした。授業の最初には、週末にホストファミリーとどうやって過ごしたかを伝え合う活動を行いました。キャンプに行った生徒、ショッピングに行った生徒、映画を見に行った生徒、Air Showという、曲芸飛行のショーを見に出かけた生徒…最後の週末をホストファミリーとともに楽しい時間を過ごしたことがよく伝わってきました。
午後からはバスに乗り込みピースアーチ州立公園へ出かけます。アメリカとカナダの国境に位置する公園で、実際に国境を歩いて超えることができます。生徒たちは、陸続きで国境を超えることに感動を覚えていた様子でした。きれいな花壇もあり、バディも含めてたくさん写真を撮って楽しんでいました。
カナダホームステイも授業は明日で最後、滞在もあと２日となりました。以下に載せる生徒のジャーナルには、残り少ない日々をさみしがったり、充実したものにしようと意気込んだりする様子が書かれています。ここでしかできない体験を積み重ねて、後悔のないように残り少ない日々を過ごしてほしいと思います。
Today, I met princesses at school. They were very cute and their songs were very beautiful. After they came back, we enjoyed origami and card games with my buddies. After school, I went to the mall. I saw Japanese popular manga in a book store. I also went to all $1 store. But not everything was $1. (N.S)
Today I went camping with my host family in the afternoon. I enjoyed a campfire and cooked hotdogs. I could breathe in the fresh air. I saw many deer there. I tried wood chopping, but I couldn’t do it well. I want to try it again. (A.H)
I went shopping to buy some food. I went to a market, Costoco and mall. I walked a lot. After coming back to our house, I wrote Thank you Card for my buddies. There are only 2days in Canada so I want to enjoy more. (Y.W)
This morning I made rice cakes. I made two kinds of them. My family said, “It’s delicious!” Today I bought many souvenirs too. I think I have a few days in Canada. I’m sad. It’s because Canadian people are very very kind. I love Canada! (K.M)
